Prophetic Prayer: “State Your Case Before Me,” Says the Lord

State your case for Donald Trump before Me, says the Lord

“Come now, and let us reason together” (Isaiah 1:18)

As I was praying for the election, the Lord revealed this prophetic prayer strategy to me. This scripture in Isaiah 1:18 came to my mind, “Come now, and let us reason together . . .” and I felt that the Lord was speaking to me that He wanted to hear the clear case stated before Him for why Donald Trump should be re-elected. I was getting the impression of standing in a court room and presenting a clear argument before the judge. Just as a legal argument in an earthly court must be based on truth and law, I knew that the appeal to God in favor of Trump had to be based on Biblical truth and God’s law. I heard the Lord say in my spirit, “State your case why Donald Trump should win re-election. What shall be “weighed in the balances” (Daniel 5:27) that the Lord will judge your request just and worthy to be granted. State your reasons now, for the Lord is listening.”

Trump walks by faith and not by sight:

Many in the church don’t see Donald Trump as a Christian or even believe that they should support him as President, because they look at the outward man and they judge his character according to his personality and his way of expressing himself. They deem him to not be “presidential” in their own judgement. Even the prophet Samuel would have misjudged God’s choice for king by relying on his own ideas of what a king should be like. This is what God said in 1 Samuel 16:7: “But the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” Left to his own judgements about what was kingly, Samuel the prophet would have chosen the wrong man! I think many Christians are not seeing Donald Trump the way the Lord sees him—as a man of faith. I believe that Donald Trump walks in faith that pleases the Lord, and many Christians are missing that fact, and they are not seeing that Donald Trump is God’s anointed leader. Christians need to open their eyes to see what God sees when He looks at Donald Trump.

Donald Trump is an example of “BELIEVING BIG” faith to the church! Donald Trump walks in faith and not by sight, because he doesn’t live by the evidence of what his eyes and the reports of others try to tell him or limit him to. He believes greater than what anything outward might dictate to him. Donald Trump walks in faith that believes for BIG THINGS and that nothing is impossible. He refuses to believe the bad report. He has huge vision and he puts action to his vision, believing that it can be accomplished. He believes that things are possible even when others tell him it is impossible!! In 2016, all the experts and all the polls were declaring that there was no path to victory for him to win the election, but Donald Trump refused to believe the negative report. He chose to believe the good report.  In Numbers 13 and 14, we see God’s anger towards the people of Israel because of their lack of faith when they believed the bad report about the promised land instead of the good report. Ten of the spies sent in to investigate the land came back and gave the bad report: “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we. And they gave the children of Israel a bad report . . . saying . . . There we saw the giants and we were like grasshoppers” (Numbers 13:31-33). Of the twelve spies who reported about the land, only Joshua and Caleb had faith to believe that Israel would overcome the giants and every opposition against them, and forty years later Joshua led the people into the promised land and Caleb fought and took the mountain that he had been promised. Despite all the discouraging reports of the polls and the media, Donald Trump refused to see himself as a “grasshopper.” He believed he could overcome all opposition and every obstacle. He walked in faith not by sight! In Matthew 8, a centurion came to Jesus pleading for his daughter to be healed. Jesus said that he would come, but the centurion said that Jesus did not need to come but only to speak the word of healing and he knew his daughter would be made well. In Matthew 8:10, Jesus marveled at the faith of this centurion who was not even of the Jewish people and proclaimed, “I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!” Jesus marveled that this Roman soldier who was not of the house of Israel walked in more faith than His own people! And Jesus responded to the centurion’s faith and rewarded his faith by healing his daughter. We see a similar account of great faith demonstrated by a person who was not part of the Jewish faith. In Matthew 15:21-28, a Canaanite woman cries out to Jesus for mercy, asking Him to deliver her daughter who is possessed by a demon. Jesus rejects her cry by saying that He was only sent to minister to the house of Israel and refers to her as a “little dog.” However, the woman will not take no for an answer and declares that even “little dogs” can get “the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” Jesus is taken by her faith and responds with these words: “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire. And her daughter was healed from that very hour” (Matthew 15:28). Again, we see that the Lord requires faith! As Hebrews 11:6 states, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him.” God responds to and rewards faith—it is one of His unchangeable ways. And faith or the person walking in faith doesn’t always have to look the way we think it should. Trump doesn’t fit into our Christian “box” or image but neither did the Centurion soldier or the Canaanite woman! These examples of “great faith” were exhibited by people who weren’t acknowledged as people of God, but they believed in the God of the Bible and they called on Him for help, and God responded to their faith. Donald Trump believes in the God of the Bible. He openly declares God’s name and calls on God’s help for our nation. He publicly acknowledges that he also needs God to help him. We ask that the faith that Donald Trump has walked in before the Lord and before the American people be weighed in the balances. We contend that he has demonstrated “great faith” in the eyes of the Lord based upon Scriptural examples and that this faith is pleasing to the Lord, and so we ask that this faith be rewarded with FOUR MORE YEARS!!!

Trump speaks life and not death over America:

The Word of God tells us in Proverbs 18:21 that “death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Proverbs 13:2 says that “from the fruit of his lips a man enjoys good things . . .” What powerful and consequential truth is expressed in these words—the power of life and death are in the tongue and that we eat the fruit of our words and enjoy good things if we speak words of life. Donald Trump chooses to speak life and blessing over America. He does NOT speak death over America. He sees the good things this nation has done for many people of the world; he sees the compassion, generosity, strength, and courage of the American people; and he sees the hope for greater freedom and justice for people all over the world that a strong America represents. Although we are a nation that has made terrible mistakes and also committed great injustice in our history, we are also a nation that has continued to reach for the highest goals and values that are rooted in the truths of God that inspired the very founding of this country. Rather than looking backwards and being discouraged by mistakes of the past, Donald Trump looks forward and sees unlimited potential to grow as a people and a nation and to rise up as a beacon of hope, goodness, justice, and blessing. This is the vision for America that Donald Trump believes in his heart and what he speaks forth to every American. He chooses to speak life and blessing with his tongue, instead of death and cursing. Let these things be weighed in the balances. Let Donald Trump receive the blessings of his own words and be rewarded with the fruit of his own lips and receive good things from the Lord for the nation and for himself, according to God’s own Word. And for this reason, again we contend that it be granted by the Lord that  Donald Trump be re-elected and walk in the life and blessing which he has spoken over this nation.

Trump is a type of Ruth: 

Ruth had a choice to make. She came to a crossroads in life and had to choose which way to go, to remain in her own country and the life she knew or to choose a whole new path. Ruth chose to cling to her mother-in-law, Naomi. This was her passionate proclamation: “Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God” (Ruth 1:16). She left the life she knew, she embraced God and the people of God, and she went out into the fields to labor so that she might help and support her mother-in-law, and she worked tirelessly from morning until evening. Boaz, the owner of the field, took notice of Ruth’s actions and singled her out for special favor and protection. When Ruth asked, “Why have I found favor in your eyes, that you should take notice of me,” Boaz said to her, “It has been fully reported to me, all that you have done . . .” (Ruth 2:10-11).

Donald Trump is a type of Ruth! Like Ruth, he came to a crossroads in life. He could have chosen to remain in the world of business and finance and personal gain, but he chose to lay it down and take up the cause of this nation and the people of this nation. And like Ruth, Donald Trump not only chose to cling to a people, the people of America, but he has also chosen to stand with God and with God’s people – he stands with the Christians of this nation and all religious freedom; he supports the Jewish people and the State of Israel; and he defends God’s causes, such as the life of the unborn child. Another parallel between Donald Trump and Ruth is his work ethic. He has worked tirelessly from morning until evening, practically every day of his presidency, to fulfill the promises he made to help improve the lives of every American and to try to divert this country from its course of decline. And many people may not know that Donald Trump refuses to take a salary as President! He works for us for free!

 We, the Church, say, let all that Donald Trump has done for this nation and for God’s people and God’s truth be fully reported to the Lord and weighed in the balances. And just as Boaz took notice of Ruth for her love and sacrifice for her mother-in-law, and she  gained favor in his eyes, so that he supported her cause, we would contend that Donald Trump capture the attention of God and gain favor in the eyes of God because of his love and sacrifice for our country and that the Lord would support Donald Trump.

Trump is a type of Mordecai:

 In the book of Esther, King Ahasuerus is reminded of the good that was done to him by Mordecai, who had discovered a plot to assassinate the king and exposes it so that the king’s life is saved. After being reminded of this and realizing that Mordecai has not been honored for this, King Ahasuerus asks of his servants, “What shall be done for the man whom the king delights to honor?” Because Mordecai had honored the king by saving his life and served the good of the kingdom, the king was determined that Mordecai should also be honored. This is a precedent of God’s Word that we can stand upon for the President. Donald Trump has honored God in so many ways and done good towards God’s name, God’s people, and God’s cause. He has stood with the Christians, he has stood with Israel and blessed Israel, he has taken up the cause of Christians and pastors being held captive, he has taken a stand for the life of the unborn, and he has declared publicly over and over that God is in control and that this country belongs to God. Therefore, because Donald Trump has honored God and acknowledged God, always declaring that we are a nation “under God,” we can declare this Biblical precedent set forth in Matthew 10:32: “Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.” We contend, let these facts be weighed in the balances by God and let the Lord rule in favor of Donald Trump and grant him by the Lord’s decree the honor to once again be elected President of the United States.

“The laborer is worthy of his wages” (1 Timothy 5:18)

This scripture sets forth the principle in God’s Word that the person who does the work is deserving of the reward or return for that work. God looks upon the work and productivity of a person and His judgement is that the worker is worthy to receive the benefit and the pay or wages for his work. In comparing the two candidates for President, Donald Trump and Joe Biden, it is abundantly clear that Donald Trump is the man who has labored and worked in far greater measure to earn the Presidency during his four years in office and now during his campaign for re-election.  For four years, he has had to expend double the energy as President, with one hand working to keep his promises to the American people and accomplish difficult goals for the prosperity of the country, while with the other hand fighting against enemies in the media, in Congress, in the FBI and national security agencies, and in his own White House staff and fighting against attacks to destroy his Presidency through impeachment, accusations of false crimes, constant leaks of information, and endless damaging and often false media reports to discredit him. Donald Trump made promises to the American people and he has worked tirelessly to keep those promises. He is not a “double-minded” man, but his desire is to be a man of his word with a testimony of “promises made, promises kept.” Despite constant opposition, President Trump has never stopped working for the good of the American people and his accomplishments in less than four years are evidence of his ceaseless labor:

For our veterans:

• Made it possible to fire bad doctors and other workers in the Veteran’s Administration who were not doing their job and were abusing their positions
• Got rid of the long waits for veterans to get care that was causing many vets to die before even seeing a doctor
• Gave veterans the right to choose to go to a private doctor for care and have VA pay for it
• Bringing our troops home and getting us out of the endless and ongoing wars in the Middle East

Fighting terrorism:

• Defeated ISIS and ended the Caliphate
• Killed Soleimani, who was the terrorist general who started the use of IUD explosives that wounded and killed thousands of U.S. soldiers in the Middle East
• Killed terrorist leader Al-Baghdadi
• Negotiated the release of a record number of American hostages and prisoners held all over the world and reunited them with their families

Foreign policy and trade:

• First President to make Europe pay their share of the cost of NATO instead of the U.S paying most of it, therefore strengthening the alliance rather than weakening it
• Kept his promise to move the American Embassy to Israel to the capital city of Jerusalem
• Re-negotiated the NAFTA trade deal with Canada and Mexico which was disastrous for our economy and jobs and made a new deal that is favorable to American workers
• For the first time in history, Donald Trump has made the U.S. completely energy independent
• Kept his promise to build the wall to stop illegal immigration which hurts American wages and jobs and allows criminals, drugs, illegal guns, and gang members to flow into our country
• First President to expose China as the greatest threat to the U.S. and stood his ground to negotiate better trade agreements in our favor. Biden said that China is “no competition” to us or threat to us.  THAT IS A LIE! Biden’s family got rich doing secret deals with China, Ukraine, and Russia.
• Made the first peace agreement in the Middle East in 50 years and is following a different strategy by bringing together other Middle East countries into agreements with Israel that will weaken Iran’s power and put them in a position to be more willing to negotiate.
• He removed us from the Paris Accord, which would have destroyed our economy while not holding the other countries accountable to the same standards or cost to their economy and letting them continue to pollute

Policies to help the African American community:

• THEY CALL HIM RACIST, BUT HE HAS DONE MORE ACTION THINGS FOR MINORITIES THAN OBAMA OR BIDEN EVER DID!
• His tax cuts actually benefited low-income and middle-income families more than upper-income families, creating a wage increase of $6500 per family.
• He has given permanent funding, and at higher amounts, to historically Black colleges and universities that used to have to apply every year for the funding
• He is committed to giving school choice to Black families and minorities in so that they can get their children out of failing schools. The Democrats strongly oppose school choice because they receive so much money form the teacher unions and are controlled by them.
• Under Trump, before the virus shut down the economy, he created the lowest unemployment for Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, and women in our nation’s history.
• He passed the Prison Reform Bill that released many minorities imprisoned with extreme sentences for non-violent crimes and who had reformed their lives in prison
• He worked with Ben Carson to create “Opportunity Zones” in inner cities to provide funds and incentives and help for people to start businesses in these areas and create jobs

Health Care:

• Passed the “Right to Try Law,” which gives Americans with a terminal illness the right to choose to receive experimental treatments.
• Signed an Executive Order giving the U.S. “favored nation” status, which means that for the first time Americans will NOT have to pay more for the same drugs that are sold cheaper in other countries. Now, Americans will pay the lowest price for a drug that is sold for in other countries.
• Donald Trump has committed to protecting coverage for pre-existing conditions

Law and Order:

• He supports the police and stands strongly against violence and rioting that destroys neighborhoods and causes long-lasting harm to the residents who live there
• The police in almost every state have endorsed Donald Trump, including the New York City Police Department, which is historic since they have never endorsed a candidate before
• He nominates judges to the Supreme Court and to the federal courts who are not activist judges, but believe in following the constitution and not using the courts to create legislation
• He strongly defends the freedoms of all Americans, including religious freedom, freedom of speech, the right to bear arms, the right to assemble, etc.
• Unlike Joe Biden and the Democrats, Donald Trump respects the separation of powers and refused to overstep his powers and interfere in decisions that belong to the states and the  governors

In conclusion, the above bullet points are only some of the accomplishments of this President! And we see how hard Donald Trump is working to win the vote of the American people for a second term. This is in stark contrast to the Biden campaign. Donald Trump is campaigning with all his energy and all his might, believing that he has more work to do for us. Joe Biden has mostly remained hidden and refused to answer direct questions, while Donald Trump extends himself to the utmost. He travels across the country non-stop doing multiple rallies per day and speaking to thousands of Americans and answering every question thrown at him by the media. It is God who says, “The laborer is worthy of his wages,” and we come into agreement with this truth! We say let it be weighed in the balances which man has the heart of a tireless worker and let that man—who is Donald Trump—be chosen!

We rest our case before the Lord:

We cry out to the Lord in heaven, and we say, “Lord, cast your ballot!” We have laid out the case for Donald Trump before you, that his deeds would be weighed in the balances against those of Joe Biden. We have stated our case why Donald Trump should win re-election, based upon your ways and your precepts. We believe our reasoning is true and just and worthy according to your laws. We thank you, Lord, that your vote is the only vote that matters. As Proverbs 16:33 says, “We may throw the dice, but the Lord determines how they fall” (NLT). We acknowledge that you control the outcome, and we ask that you grant our request and our petition for Donald Trump to be re-elected as President of the United States. You have only to speak the word and it shall be done. As Matthew 6:10 declares, “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” So, once again, we cry out to the Lord in heaven, and we say, “Lord, cast your ballot!”
