Prophetic Word: “Take Back the Narrative”

I want to share a multi-part strategic word I believe the Lord is speaking. It’s about the word –“narrative”- which has been used so profusely in recent times by both the media and the politicians. The Lord spoke to my heart that this particular word is being used as a power word by the enemy and is being used by the enemy to connect the news and events of the times to the “story” as he wants it to be perceived and to unfold in history. The Lord has been speaking to me that we must take the “narrative” back from the enemy and disrupt his attempt to define the times and the seasons in which we are living, and we must do that in the prayer realm and in prophetic declaration. The enemy wants to control the narrative, to speak his version of the story, but I hear the Lord saying that the narrative belongs to Him, the times and the seasons belong to Him, and the power of God dwells within us to declare things as the Lord sees them and to prophetically declare His plans and His purposes in current events as He reveals them to us in prayer and intercession.

The enemy believes that he controls the narrative; that through the false prophets of the media and other public voices, he may speak and it is done; that he only needs to repeat over and over the false words and the false mantra of a false narrative of his own devising, and it will be so! But the enemy and his cohorts DO NOT control the narrative. The Lord says that this power, He has not given them! For they do not have the power to speak and it shall be done. The enemy does not say “let there be light” and there is light. The enemy is an imposter and a counterfeit who seeks again a power that is not his. Therefore, the Lord says it is time to take back the narrative. The Lord will speak and it will be so. Only the Lord’s words create and are truth; the enemy’s words are lies. The Lord is about to release the “booming” voice of God into the earth and His voice and His narrative will go out to overtake the narrative of lies coming forth like a poisonous river from the mouth of the enemy. The voice of the Lord will tell a different story, and He is calling upon His prophets and His intercessors now to speak this narrative into the earth that will echo His voice in heaven and cause the power of agreement between heaven and earth to be released. As it was said of the prophet Samuel in 1 Samuel 3:19 that the Lord was with Samuel “and let none of his words fall to the ground,” I believe that the Lord is saying in this hour that He is standing ready and waiting to uphold and enforce the words of His prophets and prophetic intercessors as they speak under the anointing to change the narrative.

The following points are the specific items that the Lord spoke to me to declare to usher in the Lord’s narrative:

Declare this concerning the fires and the rioting –

Even though we know that these fires are the work of demonic forces and that the enemy wants to use them to spark anarchy and chaos and destruction, the Lord is going to hijack the unholy fires that are raging through cities all across our nation and He is going to transform them into a holy fire!  He will cause the wind of His Spirit to blow and to cause the fires to suddenly change direction, just like it happens in the natural, so shall it be in the spiritual. When a forest fire is raging, we know that a sudden wind rising up can change the whole direction and trajectory of that fire. And I believe that this is what we need to pray and proclaim – that these unholy fires shall be turned to the Lord’s purposes by the wind of His breath blowing upon them. These fires shall not consume us or consume President Trump, but instead they shall be a baptism of fire for this nation and for this President. John the Baptist said that Jesus would baptize “with the Holy Spirit and fire.” I believe the Lord’s “narrative” is that these fires which the enemy meant for evil will instead be used by the Lord as a symbolic baptism of fire (to baptize Donald Trump in the Holy Spirit and fire) and we are to declare that he will come out of this baptism of fire in the power of the Holy Spirit. In Scripture, the baptism of the Holy Spirit resulted in power, and I believe the Lord is using the fires and the rioting and the mob chaos to move Donald Trump into a new position of power. He is going to come out of the wilderness empowered by God.  I believe that this is God’s narrative, and He wants it spoken into the earth by His people, and it WILL come to pass!

Declare this concerning the virus, the lock-downs, and the shutting down of the economy –

1 Peter 4:12 says, “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you . . . “  Though the world was shocked, we know the Lord was not taken by surprise when this virus was released from China and came upon us so suddenly! In fact, though it was an attack of the enemy, the Lord allowed it to happen. The reality is that the enemy never truly understands what he is releasing when he sets something in motion. Just like with Adam and Eve in the garden and the fall of man, the enemy was blind to the redemptive plan of God that was going to be released as a result of the fall. Haman had no clue of the deliverance that was going to be loosed upon the Jewish people when he set in motion his scheme against Mordecai and the Jewish population. Satan could not conceive of the victory of the cross that would be unleashed when his plot to kill Jesus was accomplished. He always underestimates the counter-plan of God! But we, who are the body of Christ in the earth, in which the voice of God dwells, have the power and the mandate to prophetically declare the narrative of God. Amos 3:7 says, “Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.” I believe that with this pandemic, the Lord allowed the emptying out of all that President Trump had accomplished in the first term of his presidency. His “cup of accomplishments” – job creation, the soaring economy, record unemployment, the booming stock market, a new trade deal with China, etc., etc. – has been poured out! And I believe the Lord is saying that now, when all his accomplishments and man’s approval have been emptied out, this is the time when the Lord will do a new thing in Donald Trump, and he will see the power of God revealed and what the power of God can do in his weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, “. . . ‘My strength is made perfect in weakness.’” The Lord will use this emptying out as a means of bringing President Trump into a new place with God  and a new understanding of God, a positioning in the spirit in which he will “stand and see the salvation of the Lord” and receive a new revelation of God’s power. I believe the Lord is positioning Donald Trump, the nation, the world, and the Church for a mighty display of His power to overturn all the plans of the enemy against Donald Trump and against this nation. The Lord is making Donald Trump into a new wine skin because He is going to fill the empty cup with new wine. I believe the second term for Donald Trump will not be about what Donald Trump, the man, can accomplish in his own strength, but it is going to be a manifestation of what the power of God will accomplish in and through Donald Trump. I believe the Lord is ushering Donald Trump into a season of “favor,” “honor,” and “power” in his second term as President, and that Donald Trump will know it is God who did it and will give God glory and honor!

A season of “favor,” “honor,” and “power”

As I have been in prayer for Donald Trump and his re-election, the Lord has spoken three Biblical parallels concerning Donald Trump that are prophetic pictures of what the Lord is speaking about the President. These parallels are related to three Biblical figures – Ruth, Mordecai, and Paul – and what God did in response to these key figures is a prophetic declaration of what He is about to do in response to Donald Trump. There are positions and actions that Donald Trump has taken that parallel the lives of Ruth, Mordecai, and Paul in specific ways. Because of these parallels, the Lord is going to respond to Donald Trump in the same way he responded to Ruth, Mordecai, and Paul – He is going to release three powerful things upon the President – “favor,” “honor,” and  “power.” I believe this is what the Lord is calling upon the people of God to declare in this hour:  And the Lord says that the time is NOW! The time for Donald Trump to walk in the favor of God is NOW! The time that the Lord will cause the “honoring” of Donald Trump is NOW! The time for Donald Trump to walk in “power” is NOW! It has already been loosed in heaven and the Lord is already ushering in the fullness of this word!
